Career Objective

To explore creative challenges pertaining to my interests in music production, audio engineering, marketing, design, new media technology, and the management/education thereof. I am seeking opportunities that will empower me to incorporate my life’s passions while leveraging my skills in an environment that values outside-of-the-box creativity.


Functional Qualifications & Successes (Reverse Chronological Order: Present – 1997)

Central Arizona College; Coolidge, AZ — 2009-present
Current instructor for Music Technology teaching DAW fundamentals of recording, sequencing, editing, mixing, music composition, and advanced audio production techniques on Pro Tools systems. Provided consulting services to the college to help establish/support Entertainment Industry Technology program. Advised college on music equipment purchases and music studio design. Setup and provided technical support for 20-workstation Mac Pro Editing Lab, co-developed Pro Tools LE recording/mixing studio, and configured software and studio hardware for audio production.

Artist Project Grant Recipient; Phoenix, AZ — 2009-Present
Received “2009 Artist Project Grant” from the Arizona Commission on the Arts to produce and record my fourth full-length music album. Only 18 recipients were selected out of 176 proposals. (Grant project currently in progress.)

Music Videos: “Unstable,” “When She Falls,” and “Katie’s Pet Bird;” Phoenix, AZ — 2007-2009
Produced and directed three high-definition music videos for Prison of Decay album. Music videos were collectively broadcast nationwide on 69 cable networks, retail outlets, video websites, and featured on FUSE TV OnDemand.

CHAOTICA Prison of Decay (Full-Length Music Album); Phoenix, AZ — 2006-2008
Produced third full-length album. Songs “Unstable” and “When She Falls” charted at #50 and #28 respectively on national FMQB Alternative Commercial Specialty Radio Airplay Charts. Album is nationally distributed and available from iTunes and other retailers. Achieved over 122,000 song plays and “Top 20” Industrial Artists on MySpace.com.

Cold Fusion Records; Phoenix, AZ — 2004-2006
Founded music publishing company “Cold Fusion Records.” Built Apple Logic Pro DAW recording studio. Established full service marketing and PR division for artist promotion. Published and sold music. [www.coldfusionrecords.com]

Posthuman/Priority Records - Godhead: Eleanor Rigby (Remix EP); Los Angeles, CA — 2001
Per the request of Posthuman Records, I produced a remix for national recording artist “Godhead” based on their remake of the Beatles' song “Eleanor Rigby.” Priority Records published/broadcast the EP in U.S. and several countries.

Indiana/Purdue University at Fort Wayne (IPFW); Fort Wayne, IN — 2000-2001
Developed multimedia production lab for School of Visual Communications. Designed A/V studio capable of audio production, video editing, print & web design, 3D modeling & rendering, animation, and CD-ROM/DVD authoring.

Dragonfly TV for PBS (Twin Cities Public Television Inc.); Fort Wayne, IN — 2000
Licensed music (“Drill” from the album Turbocharger) to appear on Dragonfly TV (syndicated) on PBS nationwide.

CHAOTICA Turbocharger (Full-Length Music Album); Fort Wayne, IN — 1997-1999
Built 64-track DAW recording studio. Self-produced and recorded full-length music album entitled Turbocharger. Achieved commercial radio airplay. Toured live to promote record. Produced full-length remix LP. Received inquires from record companies including Atlantic, EMI, Interscope, Jive, MCA, & Universal. Appeared on 7 compilation CDs.

[Director of Marketing] for the college district. Managed marketing initiatives for 10 campuses and educational centers. Coordinated print, web, video, and new media advertising campaigns. Produced college marketing materials and publications including college catalogs, class schedules, recruitment view-books, etc. Won two NCMPR Awards.

FourthWave, LLC; Fort Wayne, IN — 2004-2006
[Director of Web Development & Marketing] for software development firm. Designed & managed 5 corporate websites and online marketing initiatives. Provided design services for print, web, and software GUIs. Won 5 national awards for design, marketing, and web excellence. Developed real-time surveillance software for handheld devices.

City of Fort Wayne: Mayor’s Public Information Office; Fort Wayne, IN — 2002-2004
[Webmaster] for Public Information Department of Mayor’s Office. Designed and managed 5,100-page website prior to implementing a CMS system. Supervised web marketing and eGov initiatives for 30 departments. Awarded “1st Place in the Nation” by the U.S. Center for Digital Government for “Best eGov Website” in 250k population category.

Fort Wayne Newspapers; Fort Wayne, IN — 2002
[Graphic Designer/Layout Artist] for Advertising Department. Designed ads and page layouts. Sold concepts to clients.

[Adjunct Instructor] for Electronic Art & Multimedia Production course for Community Education. Taught beginning-level multimedia classes with subject matter ranging from graphic/web design to video editing and audio production.

[Graphic Designer] in the Creative Marketing Department of the industry’s most respected music equipment retailer. Produced the annual Pro Gear Directory showcasing the latest standards in music equipment technology.
